Life can find us when we want to stay hidden.
We struggle to navigate to the side of the river, for peace and safety, but the river (melee of life) uses its force to push us back to the middle. The struggle is not in the middle of the melee; the struggle is in the heart.
I define spallation of the heart as a breaking off of pieces from the heart of love. This could be due to the overwhelming bombardment of words, actions, and abuses. The uncaring, unthinking, or intentionally abusive acts of people that we encounter, or people in our lives, can affect the warmth of the soul’s heart. KC ’18
